Problems with NoDataBehaviors

edited May 2002 in General
Hi,

Running RB 6.2 Enterprise and trying to use OnNoData with NoDataBehaviors
in ppReport. Have set BlankReport and MessageOnPage properties to True but
still just get a blank page drawn on the preview screen. When I tested
OnNoData with a ShowMessage('No data to print') in RAP the message is
displaying. I must be missing something but don't know what.

Thanks,

Rick.

The behavior was correct for me with RB6.03 with BlankReport and
MessageOnPage set to true. In OnNoData I also modified the text draw command
to display a different string. Please upgrade to 6.03 by contacting
    info@digital-metaphors.com.

Have installed 6.03 but still get just a blank page. I am assuming that by
setting BlankReport & MessageOnPage that I should be getting a page showing
in the preview window with all of the static report objects plus the message
that I specified in the OnNoData event ? This is what the Help file suggests
should happen. If I set the Message dialog property to true it doesn't
display either, yet I can get it to ShowMessage in RAP.

Is there any other setting ?

    Thanks,

    Rick.

Please download, compile, and run the demo below. If the demo works on your
machine you might need to do a clean reinstall of RB to make sure that units
from the older install of RB are not being used. See 'Cleaning up a corrupt
installation' under the Installation thread in the tech-tips directory.
