Sub-report only shows one row

edited May 2002 in General
My subreport only shows one row.

I can look at the query in a grid and see that there is more than one row of
data going to the pipeline, so it should be showing more rows in the
subreport when its previewed.

The detail pipeline is assigned to the subreport via the property
'datapipeline'.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks

    hi

is it possible that other controls on your main report are covering the
subreport control. If you don't set the controls to reposition dynamically
it can seem that the data isn't coming through when in fact it is and its
being hidden on the final report. I make this mistake often.

I have the same problem here. In fact I was about to post a question about
this very problem. It is driving me silly....

I use ASTA with a DBPipeline. I can connect a grid to the ASTA datasource
and I see (say) six records.

I make up a new report (even use the Report Wizard if you like). Put a
couple of fields on the erport. If you run it, you only ever get the first
record. Only one page in the report.

This is with ANY data - any report.

My fix for this - put EVERYTHING in a subreport. Then it works ok. ie put
this one field I mention here in a subreport, and you then get 6 rows
    printed out.

The problem with using subreports is that it is VERY difficult to get totals
    from them.
