How to Place subreport calculated field in the footer ??

Whis a simple Master - detail relation

How is it possible to place a DB calculated field of the subreport band (ex
: Sum(Detail_Value)) at a designed position in the master footer ?
Or another way to place this total at the end of the page ..
( to use pre-printed paper for ex .)

Create a global variable in the master report and use the OnPrint of the
DBCalc in the subreport to store the calculated value of that field. Then
use the OnCalc of a variable placed in the footer of the master report to
set's that variables Value property to the value stored in the global.
