Cropping text length with the "MinimizeName" function (FileCtrl)

I would like to limit the length of a textline that shows a
file path. I could use the "MinimizeName" function of the unit
FileCtrl.

One of the paramters of this function is the canvas the text is
printed on. Where do i get the canvas variable from?

You can make this call in the BeforePrint of the detail band and pass
Report.Printer.Canvas to the method call.
