Problems with Zebra S400 Printer

edited June 2002 in General
HI. I need to print along the length of the Label. For the barcode I can
print from top to bottom, and this looks good in proview, however, it does
not print like that from the Zebra. It reverts to printing accross the page.

Also, I am going to need some rotated labels. Is there anyway I can do this
in RB Pro? Or are there some thrid party labels I can purchase?

Many thanks,

Tony.

    1. Try rotating the barcode to offset the rotation performed by the printer.

    2. Check out the Friends=>RCL section at www.digital-metaphors.com for the
    RotatedText component.

    Hi!

Actually with Zebra printers some confusing can occur if you'll try to
understand what page orientation means. For example for some sizes of labels
Portrait and Landscape are swapped. If they are all your output will be
rotated by 90 degrees. And the only thing you can do is to swap dimensions
of your output and instead of Landscape printing print into Portrait.

Thanks. I was confused by what Orientation actually meant. Eventually I
figured that by just using Landscape, I got everything I wanted!! I fiddled
with the Seagull Driver and got exactly what I wanted. Only problem is, I
dont know exactly what I did.

    Cheers,

    Tony.

As usual with Zebra printer portrait orientation means printing in direction
as paper gets out of the printer. No matter what is actual size of label and
how does it looks. So it can look like a landscape but will be qualified as
portrait. I didn't find normal explanation to the internal logic so as usual
all our customers are still confused about that.
