ReportBuilder Server Edition

edited June 2002 in General
Dear Digital Metaphors,

were your presentation of ReportBuilder Server Edition
at BorCon 2002 successful?
Is there a way to see the slides without having been there?
Is there a release date?

TIA,

We were successful in showing the server edition in action. We didn't have
any slides, as we coded the server application, thin client application and
web application on the fly. It only takes a few lines of code, because you
just drop components on a form and make a few registration calls to tell the
server where to find the reports We setup a lan with 3 computers. We were
able to preview a report across the web in a browser. The report was stored
in a database table which was created earlier with the Report Explorer as
you would with the current release of ReportBuilder. My role in the
presentation was supposed to create 3 reports, form based, file based
template, and a end user database template. But network problem kept me from
saving them to the network. Aside from that little problem, it went very
well. We had a report backup on the network, so we were good to go after
    that hurdle.

The release date is scheduled for 2-3 months away.

BorCon ended about 2.5 weeks ago, so it is still safe to say that the time
frame for release is still 2-3 months away:)
