RB and IBX big problem

Hi,

Recently updated to IBX 5.03
Have RB 6.03 and getting
"Invalid variant type conversion"
when trying to close the designer
after saving a report.

No problems using IBX 5.02
and RB 6.03.

Already compiled rbIBE55.dpk
and daIBExpress.dcu was
recreated and files in proper
directories.

rbIBE55.bpl \Windows\System
daIBExpress.dcu ($Delphi)\RBuilder\Lib

Any help please, can't upgrade my
applications.

There is a known issue and a patch is available to address this. Please send
an email to support@digital-metaphors.com to request it.

There is also property setting change you need to make on the TIBTable
components. TIBTable.ForcedRefresh should be set to true and it will begin
working with IBX 6.03.

Using TIBDataSet, ForecedRefresh not
working with this one.

We're using D5 + IBX 5.03 + RB 6.03
can't tell about IBX 6.03.

Will wait for patch to see if it helps

I have D5 (UP #1), IBX 5.03, RB 6.03 end user example working with the
TIBTables, not TIBDatasets. In the meantime you can use the TIBTables.
What does your SQL look like for the TIBDatasets? The problem is that the
autoincrement value (folder and item IDs) is not coming back immediately
after a new record is posted (well, ExecSQL in the case of TIBDataset).
I'll look into this to see why. I can run your end user project, if you
point it to the demo Employee.gdb Interbase database and send it to
support@digital-metaphors.com
