Watermark

edited June 2002 in General
Hello,

i have created a report that displays text that looks like a watermark
back behind the rest of the text. i did this by setting the Label.Color
property to 'clYellow'. This works for some printers, but not for
others.

On some printers the text shows up as a light shade of gray but on
other printers it prints out as a solid black color. The ones that
print the label in black overwrites the other text. Since i have no
control over which type of printers will be used to print out the
form, i need to be able to have a solution that works with all
printers.

TIA,
Robby

It sounds like a printer driver problem, since it works in some and not
others. Upgrade to the latest printer driver from the manufacturer for the
    problematic pritners.

    Hello,

i have many different users with many different printers in many
different locations. i cannot have all upgrade to new drivers.

    Is there a better solution?

    Thanks,

If the printer driver doesn't support transparency, then you could send the
output pages to an RB addon image device. They are available from
www.waler.com or www.pragnaan.com and then send the image to the printer.
