We had to deal with the Object Tree View in D6, so we had to hide a lot of the child objects from being visible. It would allow you to set properties on objects which were never intended to be set outside of internal RB classes, such as those object embedded in the DADE dataviews:)

yes, that's true. Use a 'TForm' (or a descendant).
'TDataModule' are designed for non visual components only.
