Grouping problem

I have a report with a group that is used to print service notices (one for
each customer). The relationship works with a parent, child and grand child
tables. The before print event of the grand child record executes a
function and sets the visible property of the detail band based on the
functions results. I would like to skip or not print the service notice for
customers that do not have any grand child records to print. I am having
problems figuring a way to do this. Any help is appreciated.
