AV in RichEd20.dll
Hello,
If I drop a Rich Edit memo onto a report I get a series of AV's that
reference RichEd20.dll when I try to close the application. This happens
whether I put text in it or not. I tried replacing the dll with a "clean"
version but still get the AV's.
Any suggestions?
Using RBPro 3.52, with D3, testing on W2K.
Thanks, Mike

and invalid memory access error in the code calling methods inside the dll.
The latest version for D3 is 4.23. You could try downloading that to see if
the error still shows up.

Thanks for the response. Will that require viewing and resaving all our
stored reports? I think that was the reason we had stopped at the 3.52
version. If that's the case perhaps it's time to update that application to
D5 as the Report Builder conversion requirements was the only reason we've
left it in D3.

this programatically. If you move up to D5 then you should go all the way up
to 6.03 which is out latest release.

ppCalc the declaration line just magically disappeared and allowed me to
compile again. Anyway, looks like the AV is gone. If I decide to do this
update is there anything else that I need to do? Should I be replacing
whatever the ppCalc component was with something else or did that magically
happen on it's own? Do you have documentation somewhere about the perils of
the 3.52 --> 6.03 upgrade?
Thanks,
Mike
detail band pipeline has been replaced by subreports. However, reports using
those will still run.
