Missing bitmap in richedit.

When I include a bitmap in a rich edit and print, the bitmap
shows in preview and prints but if I save it as a raf file only
the rich text is there, not the bitmap stored in the blob field
from which the rich text comes. Explicit images are ok (as
ppImage components) but this is when actually included in a rich
edit.

This is with D5 and RB 6.03

Are you using the default RichText component or are you using the component
from InfoPower or WPTools? How are you embedding the image into the
rightext?

Can you embed images using a Delphi RichEdit or do you have the same
problem. If so then this is an InfoPower issue and you should contact them
for a resolution.

Yes - I can print from the infopower richedit dialog and the image _is _
included but not using RB.


In any case, once saved into the table blob field, IP is no longer involved,
it is just a richeedit with an image surely? Especially if it is printable
directly but not saved in the raf file - surely something wrong with the raf
file?

But is the IP RichText engine used when generating the report to archives?
The RB RichText engine does not handle images.

No. I was assuming that the RB rich text component would just print the rich
text including the image. I can't imagine how I would use the IP Richtext
engine in the process of RB reporting.

RB.
