Print to file - text, puts all subreport first then does main detail!`

I am trying to allow a report to be output to a text file, I
have selected the header labels, the detail fields I want, and
also those in a subreport in the main detail band. However the
resulting file doesn't make much sense since it outputs all the
subreport fields together (after the header of the main report)
and then prints each detail. Clearly I want each subreport
detail to to appear with each main detail - as it does in the
normal report.

What kind of a subreport is it? Child subreports are not supported for text
output. It must be a section subreport.
