Why the error : "Unit raIDE was compiled with a different version of ppClass.TppCustomReport"

edited August 2002 in General
> My Situation :

I had wrote to support for my problems with dbExpress fields : TFMTBCDField
and TSQLTimeStampField.

The support send me 3 Patches to fix problem ( ppTypes.pas ,
ppDisplayFormat.pas , ppDBType.pas ) and after recompilation the problem was
perfectly fixed but i could not use rap Units ( raIde , raCodMod ,... )
because occurs this error :

"Unit raIDE was compiled with a different version of
ppClass.TppCustomReport"

I tried to use 6.03 version but there is the same problem.

What i can do ?? Sorry if i am so insistent ( i had send two mail also to
support )

Best Regards

Because support must have changed something in the raIDE interface. You will
need to contact them directly, they are normally quick about this.

The support reply to me this :
"The patches must have a change in the interface section. If this is the

case, then RAP will need to be recomplied, but since we don't distribute the

source to RAP, this isn't possible. You'll have to wait until the next

release of RB to have these fixes. This should be happening soon after the

Server Edition release which is coming up in the near future."

    I Reply :

"I hoped to not read this kind of answer !!

It is out of discussion that you could recompile RAP with these patches and
send me binary files ... right ???"

    Thanks for your answer .

Sorry, but actually we will not be able to recompile and redistribute the
    binaries until the next release.
