Are you using RB 6.03? What version of Delphi are you using?
I don't fully understand your question, but I'll try to answer a couple possible questions.
If you have RB 6.03, then it may be that the report is not being regenerated for the printer if you make changes in the printer setup dialog. There is a patch available for RB 6.03. If you have Delphi 6, then upgrade to RB 7 for Delphi 6 and the patch is included in the latest release.
The screen preview will not match your printed output. The printed output is what we generate the draw commands for. In the screen device, we attempt to position the draw commands based on where on the paper the commands will be. Since the resolution is porrer on the screen, you get slightly different results than the paper printout which is accurate. Try zooming to 100% in the screen preview.
