RB7 - Endless "Calculating page"
I have found a problem (similar to one corrected in RB 6.03):
- a report with nested subreports
- the subreport contains a RichEdit field and a subreport.
- the subreport starts in a new page
The problem: if the RichEdit field is long (a page or more), the
subreport prints correctly in the next page. If the field is empty or
less than a page long, the engine print a blank page, and then
calculate the next page forever. If one use the nextPage button,
hitting the Cancel button the report windows reactivates; if one use
the "go to last page" button, I have to close the report windows.
I don't know if the problem is in the engine or in bad settings of the
report and group parameters. In any case the endless loop is a bad
thing....
I have a little demo, if you want.
Thanks
Gigi

By the way: I have not endless blank page printing, I have the
"calculating page" message forever on, and the page count does not
increment.
Do you want a demo ?
