Using a Page Style Section

edited February 2003 in General
Hello there.
I have set up a Purchase Order Report, this contains a subreport which holds
the Purchase Order Lines. This sub report can strech over on to multiple
pages.
I'm trying to use the Page Style section to hold some formatting for the
report. As soon as I add a Page Style section however I have a problem in
that those records where the subreport streches over a number of pages (due
to a large number of records in the subreport) suddenly have an extra first
page with a blank subreport (the pages that follow that look fine).
If I remove the Page Style Section it works fine (although I lose my
formatting). It also works fine if I set the Page Style Section to
DynamicHeight. Although I understand this is a bug and I shouldn't be able
to do this (the system also sets it back to StaticHeight the next time I
open the report).
Any ideas how I can stop the inclusion of a Page Style Section affecting my
subreport?
Thanks in Advance

Nick

I just tested this using RB 7.01 and DBDemos. I created a master/detail
report on customer/orders. I made the detail band of the subreport very tall
so that only two detail records can fit on a page. I created a PageStyle
band. The report output is as expected.

If you are not using RB 7.01, download a trial edition for D5, D6, or D7 and
test your report. (Backup your reports prior to opening them in RB 7).

If it works using RB 7.01, then you need to update to the latest release.
See the order page of our web site for pricing or contact
info@digital-metaphors.com with your full registration information.

If you have an issue with RB 7.01, then please create a simple, minimal
Delphi project using DBDemos that demonstrates the issue. E-mail in zip
format to support@digital-metaphors.com and we can check it out.
