Rotated Text with RB 7
(Using D5)
I am re-installing everything after a computer meltdown. I installed
RB 7.02 without incident, but am unable to install the 3rd party
RotatedText because it requires rbrcl66 (from RB6).
What is the best way to handle this compatibility issue?
Thanks,

Do you have source? Can you recompile?--you should be able to change the
source required clause (Sorrry, I don't have the rotated text component so I
do not know).

Thanks for checking in on a Sunday, Ed.
I do have source, and changed the reference to rbrcl75, but I get a
Delphi internal error U704 on compile, so assumed that there was some
compatibility problem between rbrcl66 and rbrcl75.

functionality is so fundamental in reporting and seems very strange that it
is not already in there.
I know there is a component out there, but it has not been updated for years
and probably won't be every again and it is very buggy.
Please can we have this feature added in a future version.
Thanks,

I was finally able to compile by going back to RB 7.01. I don't know
if it was simply uninstalling and reinstalling that did the trick or
if it is something in 7.02 that is incompatible with Rotated Text.
I'll try re-installing 7.02 later this week when I have more time and
see what I find.
Thanks for your help.

neither a hint nor warning) when we built the packages. We are preparing a
new build to fix the issue.
