Two guestions regarding Reportbuilder

Hi,

1. when can we expect a TppArchiveDevice which supports
saving the archive directly to a memorystream ?

2. when I ordered the enterprise version of Reportbuilder
7.x I only got download links for delphi version 6 and 7
can I get the download link for delphi 5 ?
I would like to use the ppArchivereader in delphi 5.

You can derive from TppArchiveDevice and write this yourself. I haven't done
that, but it should not be difficult (I have done other devices).

Rob,

1. Take a look in ppFilDev for the TppFileDevice and TppArchiveDevice for
examples of creating file devices. The ancestor file device has a file
stream for example. You could create a file device that provides a memory
stream and use that to write to a database. For an example of transferring
report archive files to a database, check out demo 155 in your
\RBuilder\Demos\1. Reports\ directory.

2. The reason you only recieved links for Delphi 6 and 7 is because you
ordered ReportBuilder Server, which only runs with 6 and 7. If you would
like to download ReportBuilder Enterprise 7.02 for Delphi 5, please send a
request including your registration info to sales@digital-metaphors.com.
