Update from RB 6 to 7

I bought the update from RB 6.03. I started the update and I selected
TeeChart 6.
But now, when I start on of my projects, my Waler components does not start!
Missing *55.bpl or so :-((
Also I did not fount the TeeChart components. Perhaps I have to install a
new BPL but which?. I did not found any inside of the readme Word Document.

Sounds like a Waler issue... there is a recend update to his product. Did
you download and install it?

Yes it was. After downloading my update everything works fie.

Nicolas,

1. You will need to either obtain the latest update of Waler for
ReportBuilder 7.02 or rebuild the Waler packages yourself. The article
below explains how this can be done.

2. Make sure you are installing ReportBuilder 7.02 after you install
TeeChart 6.0. This allows any wrapper packages that RBuilder uses to be
built and installed.

Note that there is a small bug when installing ReportBuilder 7.02 for Delphi
5 and TeeChart 6. The install components dialog will display the wrong
TeeChart version. (5.02 instead of 6). This bug is purely cosmetic and will
be fixed in the next release.

Article: Recompiling Add-on Devices

There are currently two add-on device packs available
for ReportBuilder: TExtraDevice and PsRBExportDevices.

When a new version of RB is released, you will need
to recompile the packages associated with any RB add-ons.


I. TExtraDevices
-------------

1. Select Install Packages in Delphi.
2. Remove the TExtraDevices package (xtradev.bpl).
3. Open xtradev.dpk in the ExtraDevices source directory for
your Delphi version (i.e., ExtraDev\Delphi6\Source\).
4. Click Install.

This should recompile TXtradev.pas with the new
version of RB.


II. PsRBExportDevices
-----------------

1. Exit Delphi

2. Open the \Source folder and run the file
'COMPILED6.bat'.

is the folder you installed PsRBExportDevices to
(by
default it is C:\Program Files\Pragnaan\PsRBExportDevices...).

There are different batch files for different versions of Delphi, run
the
correct file:

'COMPILED6.bat' for Delphi 6
'COMPILED5.bat' for Delphi 5
'COMPILED4.bat' for Delphi 4


3. Run Delphi and you should be able to use
PsRBExportDevices with the new version of RB.
