corrupt installation

edited April 2003 in General
I uninstalled ReportBuilder from control panel.(very old standard version)
I try to run rbpro5.exe and it gave me the corrupt installation found
message.
I followed the guidelines in the newsgroup reportbuilder.tech-tips and then
removed every .bpl and .dcp that were on my disk (there were files in
windows\system directory). I had no pp*.* files related to Reportbuilder on
my disk.
I rebooted.
I tried rbpro5.exe again and still get the message that there is a corrupted
installation.

What does the installation is looking to say that there is a corrupt
installation?

    Frederic,

When the "corrupt install" error is shown during the installation procedure,
it means you probably only recieved a partial install .exe file while
downloading. Try downloading the rbpro5.exe file again from our website and
reinstalling with that. The file size of rbpro5.exe should be 12778 KB when
    you are finished.
