I realize the sales emphasis is on using the Server product for web reports, but is there anything unsafe about using Pro 7.02 version reports via Intraweb's thread-safe Datamodules or Delphi7 ISAPI Webmodules ? -- JoeH
A number of years ago I wrote an ISAPI DLL w/ RB that worked. So yes, it can be done. But there were some design issues that would have taken a significant amount of time to improve--and DM created the right sort of architecture for it. I would think seriously before investing a lot of work into your own server side reports--RBS is done so well that you will save a lot of time (and money). (If you think you may have a significant # of sales with your product, I would contact DM and talk with them about the price--but I don't think you can save money by doing it yourself).
But my real question is whether the Pro version is thread safe. In the 'what's new' docs, they state the DADE and other modules are threadsafe as of version 7, but never actually state that this means the Pro version is threadsafe.

Thanks Ed,
But my real question is whether the Pro version
is thread safe. In the 'what's new' docs, they state the DADE and

but never actually state that this means the Pro
version is threadsafe.
So... is the Pro version 7.02 threadsafe ?
Joe
Yes.
