Dynamic field height?

Hi,

I am new to Report Builder and am trying to set up a dbText field so that it
will wrap to the next line if necessary, but I want the field to normally
take up only one line if the text will fit on that line. I have been
experimenting with autosize, wordwrap and dynamic sizing for the detail band
but it always seems to come up with a blank data field if it will not fit on
one line, or my report is essentially double spaced with only a few of the
records needing the two lines for that one field.

Is there a way to tell it to only stretch the field (and therefore the row
height) if needed, but to normally leave it at the regular height?

Did you try using a TppDBMemo inplace of a TppDBText? This may solve teh
problem.
