Exporting to PDF - Pragnaan??

edited July 2003 in General
Hello,

I am looking at providing the ability to print to PDF documents from
Report Builder. I also need to be able to allow the user to edit these
reports.

My questions:
1. If I use the Pragnaan export system - can I still use the report
designer?
2. Do I have to use Pragnaan components or can I use the standard RB
comps in the designer?
3. Are there any major 'gotchas' with Pragnaan? I am doing fairly
simple reports. Mainly lists - with a few of them having some images...
Nothing fancy...
4. I use JIT pipelines all over the place. Are their any issues with
these and the Pragnaan system?

Thanks for any replies!

Bradley

You can also try my devices which support PDF and 10 other formats.
A demo is available at www.waler.com/download.htm

    Ed,

thanks for your responses. I have gotten them working - and they seem
to do a good job. Much easier to use then I thought they would be...

I have found good quality with both Pragnaan and Waler--although I have just
recently upgraded to v 2 up the prior one and haven't done a lot of testing
on it yet. (Early on I had some issues with Walers export devices but they
seem like they are all fixed at this point, AFACK).

The export devices use your regular reports, just printed to a PDF
    file--works very nicely.

    Enjoy.
