hi,
it would be nice to be able to dock the report tree and data tree into the
designer, so you can organize the RB desktop
it would be even nicer to have the report designer to remember the state in
wich those trees were displayed
for example if i have the report tree and i hide the objects or i make the
tree itself bigger so i can see the whole report structure and i then run a
preview, on returning to the design screen the trees are reverted back to
their 'default' values

Hi Marc,

Thanks for the suggestions. It is possible to dock the report tree and data
tree to the left side of the designer. Simply drag the box over to the left
until the border changes width, then let go.

aaaahhh the left,
well maybe its me but i just tried to dock it to the right
left is probably better although i was having the object inspector to the
left
i'll reorganize

Hi Marc,

Sorry, I failed to mention that it is also possible to dock to the right
side of the Report Designer as well if you prefer.

seriously?
i did notice that it isn't noticable that the docking will occur, i'll try
the right hand side to
anyway the dialog when docked also returns to the default settings of the
dialog when you switch from preview back to design
another thing is that i seem to be unable to alter the width of the dialog
once it is docked...
