Preview with feedback

I am trying to give users some feedback during a slow preview. I am not
wanting anything too sophisticated - I would just like to show a splash form
with a suitable message showing the system was busy generating the report.
This should be hidden once the first page of the preview is generated.

I am using a ppViewer on a form. How can I hide the splash screen when the
first page is generated.

    Have a look at the events fired, before and after the pages and objects are
    rendered. We use them to create, update and destroy a progressbar.
