Disabled Page-Navigation in Preview Form
Hi,
I have the following Problem with the Reprot-Preview: When I click the
Cancel button while the calculation is running, the Navigation Buttons turns
disabled. Minimizing the Preview Form enables the Button again. Is this an
known Issue or am I doing something wrong?
I'm using Delphi 7 with RB 7.03, WIN2K SP4.
regards,
Michael

Thank you for pointing this out. The page navigation buttons should remain
disabled if the report generation is cancelled. It turns out the buttons
were getting re-enabled when the Preview window was resized. I created a
fix for this issue and if you would like the patch, please send an e-mail to
support@digital-metaphors requesting it and we'll send it right out.

thank you for quick support. After installing the Fix the enable disable
thing works fine.
The trouble is, that the Preview is (still) empty after cancelling the
report generation and I can't navigate the Report anymore (because everthing
is disabled). Has somebody noticed that already?

Michael
Cancelling a report is kind of a "bailing out" of the generation process.
When you press the cancel button, the report engine completely stops and the
report cannot be viewed. There is no way to partially view the report.

then this is new in RB7. In Reportbuilder 5.56, which is the Version I used
before, you can go Page by Page even though the generation was canceled. I
am about to deliver over 100 Report-DLLs migrated to RB7 and my customers
use the Preview function very intesely and I am sure they need the
possibility to restart the report after pressing the cancel button. Why did
you change that in RB7?

then this is new to RB7.x.
