Keep Group Together problem

edited September 2003 in General
I'm using RBPro 6.03 and have a problem with the Keep Group Together
function. I have some reports which have 3 groups, each with the "Keep Group
Together" and "Reprint Group on each page" options checked. However, if the
report runs to more than one page then the data displayed / drawn in the
Details section is wrong. I have found the culprit to be the "Keep Group
Together" option in Group 3: turning this off solves the problem. Is this a
known bug? If so can I patch it without upgrading to version 7?

P.S. - been away from this NG for a while so sorry if this has come up
before; nothing revealed by Tamaraka

    Hi Paul,

This issue was addressed in ReportBuilder 7. Please download the trial
version of RB 7.03 and test your reports with that to see if you get
different results. Be sure to back up any existing reports before you test
    them with RB 7.03.

Is there no way I can patch this in 6.03. Its a lot of work for me to
upgrade to 7 (it not just a case of installing it I'm afraid) and i) it may
introduce other issues, ii) its a chargeable upgrade isn't?

    Hi Paul,

Unfortunately we can no longer provide updates for any versions of
ReportBuilder earlier than 7.0. You will need to upgrade to receive this
    fix.

    RB 7 includes.....

    - support for Delphi 5, Delphi 6 and Delphi 7.
    - years worth of fixes and enhancements (i.e. since RB 6.x)
    - new features
    - on going maintenance releases, patches, enhancements

Please contact sales@digital-metaphors.com if you have questions about
    updating.

Hmm...that's depressing. Its bad enough that I have to pay for a bug fix
(and it is quite a serious bug) but I also potentially have loads of
development work and Q&A to carry out as well :-(

I'll drop your sales team a line.
