Printer Setup Strange Problem
Hi All,
Here's the odd problem.
For about two years I've been making occasional updates (once every month or
so) to a client server program that uses report builder 6.03. The last 3
times that I have done an update (which is simply compiling the program and
copying it to a share), a report that uses a non-default printer setup (8.5
x 7) prints out at (8.5 X 11). Since this report is for printing checks,
the users are understandably PO'd that their checks get ruined. Now thru
trial and error I have been able to get it to print correctly again by:
1) going into the report at design time (And yes the printer setup was still
set to 8.5 X 7).
2) Previewing the report
3) Printing it to the same printer that the end user is using.
Once that is done, the original exe will print correctly. This just really
has me puzzled. None of the versions of the components have changed, and
the process has worked correctly for over a year. It's only in the last 3
months that this problem manifested itself.
TIA.
Matt B.
