Same report, same paper size, different result?

edited October 2003 in General
Hi,

I used same report and same paper style(Letter) and same margins, and
print it in HPDeskjet and HP laserJet 4 plus printer. the laser one works
just fine, but the deskjet one just can't print the footer (I have two lines
in the footer, first line is just a description, the second line is a page
description: Page 1 of x), Why could that be happened?

also the text of the TppMemo is not print correctly in the deskjet printer,
for example, On the designer page, the text of the TppMemo looks like:

This is a sample text, xxxxxxxxxxxx (auto line feed), yyyyyyy, zzzzzzzz

but when print this line in the deskjet printer, it becomes:

This is a sample text, xxxxxxxxxxxx, yyyyyyy(auto line feed), zzzzzzzz

Can't figure out why that could be happened.

Thanks

William

    Hi William,

If the report is printing correctly on one printer and not on the other,
this is most likely a printer driver issue. ReportBuilder sends the same
Windows API commands to every print driver regardless the type or
manufacturer. Check to see that you have the latest driver for the printer
you are using and that the margins lie inside your specific printer's
    printable area.
