Nulls in Crosstab?

edited October 2003 in General
Hi

Null values seem to be suppressed when analysing a crosstab, rather than
included in a "count of value NULL".

As we are using the cross-tab partly as diagnostic aid for look at complex
student class allocations, can you advise how to get NULL values counted in
the cross-tab, as we nearly missed a potentially major problem this morning
from unallocated students.

TIA

Barry

    Hi Barry,

Try setting the SkipNulls property of the crosstab cell equal to False. You
can access this property by right clicking over the crosstab calculation
cell and selecting Skip Nulls from the popup menu.

I tried that, in every cell, but "skip nulls" is greyed out in all of them
on the pop-up menu, and so is not accessible.

What do I need to do to make it accessible?

    TIA

    Hi Barry,

Be sure you left click over the cell so that it is highlighted black before
right clicking. Then you should have access to the "Skip Nulls" option for
each field you drop in the crosstab.
