Unable to Select Dynamic Print Height for Detail Band

edited October 2003 in General
We're using RB 5.52 with Delphi 5.

I have a detail band with two regions that won't allow me to select
phDynamic for the PrintHeight. I've searched previous messages and
see this was reported once before a long time ago, but the only
response I see is "that shouldn't be possible".

I thought it might be because I had a shape in one region, but
removing that doesn't help.

Oddly enough, I'm trying to duplicate some behavior from another
report I did a year ago which works OK. I've compared all the
settings between one and the other and I don't see any difference
(i.e. it doesn't look like I've set any of the ShiftWith or
StretchWith etc. for the one fields/labels on the one that works).

Any ideas? Thanks.

    Hi Steve,

There should be no reason you can't change the PrintHeight of the detail
band. Is this property disabled? Please send an example of this behavior
to support@digital-metaphors.com and we'll try to resolve the issue for you.

Digital Metaphors' level of technical has proven itself over several years
now and is on public display in these newsgroups.

ReportBuilder 7 is available for D5, D6 and D7. It is the only version of
ReportBuilder that is being supported with updates and patches. If a
customer is using an old version then the first step is to test with the
latest version. We have to do this or we will not be in business - period.

Sorry for not testing your project with RB 7 - I should have done that, but
hurriedly read the message and did not notice it.

I tested it just now. In RB 7 the DetailBand.PrintHeight cannot be set to
phDynamic when the DetailBand.ColumnTraversal property is set to
    ctLeftToRight.
