There are no royalty fees for distributing end-user solutions. However there
are limitations on what types of applications you can build and distribute.
You cannot for example, build a general purpose reporting or query building
type of application. Your application should provide substantial
functionality beyond reporting/query data, the report/query facilities
should be only part of the application - not the focal point. The database
should be a fixed or limited set of tables.

An example would be an accounting system for auto dealerships.

Distribute the application as either a stand alone .exe or a smaller .exe
plus run-time packages - that is really up to you.

That is fine. You cannot allow the user to connect to other database
information - for example database that are not part of your application.

    i don?t know if i well understood,

my end user solution can?t have may tables, from for example:

    PCP
    Accounting
    Human Resources
    etc...

i am sorry, what do u mean by "database that are not part of your
    application" ?

  • edited October 2003

Any database tables that are not accessed by your application. These would
the entire universe of database tables to which the user might have access-
including but not limited to local databases installed on his machine and
remote databases that his machine can connect to.

you mean: one table in a database wich is not contained in one of my
    DataModules in my system?

    correct?

give me a substantial example, because this issue is decisive on my RBuilder
    purchase!!!

The users can only connect to the database tables that you provide with your
application (i.e. install to their machine).
