Server Edition and End-User reports

edited October 2003 in General
Does the server edition include the ability for end-users to create their
own reports and save them over the web? If not are their plans to provide
such tools (if it is possible of course)

The server enables reports to be published over the web to remote client
applications and web browsers. There is no support for report creation.

You might consider creating a remote application the enables users to create
reports and then save them to a remote database or transfer them to a remote
file directory. RB Server can be configured to dynamically discover the new
reports and make them available for generation on the server.

You could use a multi-tier database architecture such as dbExpress or ASTA
to implement an end-user report creation solution.

There are no immediate plans to add a report designer that run within the
context of a web browser. However, we have had customers that have built
custom HTML based report wizards and then generate report definitions and
    run them on a server.
