Report Template Question

Hello,

I have a project w/ all the reports saved in a database as templates.

I would like to write some sort of generic front end that would read the
template, look (somehow) at it, and then on the fly create a front end w/
the input parameters. I would like to be able to parse the input
parameters.

How could I read input parameters out of a template?


Any thoughts / advice?

Hi Isi,

You can extract templates from a database and edit them as text on the fly
using the method in the example below. This is very primative as it just
dumps the template text into a memo where it can be edited. This is however
a good starting point to creating a useful front end for editing the
templates on the fly.
