Demo for printing archivefiels?

Is there a demo to view and print archivefiles?

we had some problems in printing with out of memory. Therefor i wont to look
if its in our application, or its also in the demo.

the problem is, that if i open an archive and print it, once it goes well
and another time the taskmanager shows aup, that the application eats 1 Gig
of memory and then i get an out of memory exception.
I am using 7.03. Under 7.02 i had no such problems.


any idea?

Hi Chris,

There is an Archive Demo located in the \RBuilder\Demos\Report\... directory
(dm0007.pas). This allows you to load archives and print them and should be
a good test for the memory issues you are having. In my testing, I did not
see any excessive use of memory when printing these archive files.

Hello,
the problem seems defintive 7.03 with all printing, but only with a special
template.
i have send an archive to support@digital-metaphores.com also with the
template.

it seems to be a problem with one bitmap. Perhaps you find it.
you cannnot reproduce it everytime. Take a archiveviewer build on 7.03 and
the file archive.CNARP.
start the programm try to print 1-5 times on a laser.
if it get out of memory, RB 7.03 tries to allocate 1Gig of memory, print out
is slowly and the memory exception come.
