3 page per minutes on a printer rated 19ppm

edited November 2003 in General
Why I get so slow performance on a HP5150 printer when I try to print an
invoice that is 4x7 inches.
It take more than 30 second to print 2 small invoices. It is printing very
slow, if I print on another printer the invoice will print fast but on this
printer and on the 5550 it print as if it where printing a complex graphic.
I tried to set that printer as the default and change the fonts (true type
fonts). and then save the report but it didn't help . The printer is set to
print on draft fast mode but it print slow.
This printer is rated at 19ppm and when I print a wordpad document it print
faster.

    Hi Carlos,

How are you accessing data in your report? As a quick test try creating a
minimal report (blank one page set to 4" x 7") and see if this takes as long
to print. Then keep adding items from there. As a last step, reconnect
your report back to the database to find out if this is the bottleneck.
