Semi-dynamic report generation
Hi all,
I'm using D5 / RB 6.02 and I have the following problem:
We need to print a document that has partially fixed data. This data may not
be changed by anyone.
However the rest of the document is free for the end-user to do what they
like. So they can write/lay-out their own text, use available data(base)
fields etc...
Now I was thinking of doing this by using the ppDesigner. But I don't seem
to find a way so that the user cannot change the fixed data!
Any suggestions?
All are welcome.

Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent a user from editing certain
components in the Report Designer. One idea that you might try would be to
keep a generic template with your fixed data present, and have this template
load every time your users run your application while preventing them from
overwriting your original template.
