Aldo the preview print is ok, all images on paper are black. I had this problem first with a HP 145 and now with a HP Business Inkjet 1100D. All new drivers for these printers are installed. Is there a solution for this?
Try setting the Transparent property of these images is set to False. It may be a limitation of the resources on the printer/OS. Does the report work on any other printers? Can you generate to an intermediate archive file and use a simple test application that uses an TppArchiveReader to print the report? This would take your application out of the equation at runtime as a cause of resource limitations.
I have had this problem. The image shows up fine on some printers and others I get a black box. Fortunately for me, the image doesn't need to show up so I have a toggle to on the image to allow the user to show or not show the image. I don't recall if I tried to set the transparency to false or not any more. I also tried using different image types, but that didn't fix the problem.
Yes, i have had that problem to. I added a picture to my report and saved it into the database (whith a computer windows xp). Than i had the problem on computers whith windows xp. I solved that problem by saving the report whith a computer windows 98. Than it works fine on both windows 98 and windows xp.
I also have the black image problem. Preview is ok. But printing comes out black sometimes. I have tried everything suggested here but the problem persists. It must be a bug. There is no other data on my report except images. If anyone finds a solution please post here Thanks James
We have developed a patch that addresses some issues with printing bitmaps in ReportBuilder 7.03 including a resource\memory leak. I cannot guarantee this will fix the black image problem as I am not able to recreate this behavior but it is definitely worth a try. If you are interested in this patch, please send an email to support@digital-metaphors.com requesting the ppUtils patch. Thanks for all your patience.
