The Digital Metaphors creative team is currently working on migrating ReportBuilder to the Delphi 8 .Net VCL platform. The goals of VCL.Net are to enable easier migration to the .Net platform and to provide cross platform compatibility between Win32 and .Net. ReportBuilder for VCL .Net shares those goals.
We'll do what we can to enable customers to migrate reports to Delphi 8 .Net However, there will be limitations. For example, Borland migrated the BDE data access components to VCL .Net but did not do the same for the Delphi Win32 ADO data access components.
Note: The Delphi 8 VCL .Net platform is not compatible with C# Builder. That is not a goal of VCL .Net.
