Printing Different Report Formats

edited December 2003 in General
We have multiple clients using different report formats for printing checks.
Essentially the fields are the same for each check but the format and
positioning is different. We would like the ability for a User or Support
person to set up the check format and save so that we do not need to write
different report for each customer. Is anybody doing something like this?

Thanks for any help

    Hi Stephen,

You could perhaps create a generic template that your users could start with
containing all the parts of a check (ie. Signature, Amount, "Pay to the
order of"... etc). Then give the user the ability to move each component
around to fit their own check format and have them either save that template
down as a new file or a new entry in a database.

If you would like to get even more advanced you could try creating a
replacement for the current report wizard and have your user select from a
    number of pre-formated check templates.
