Page Header before Title

edited January 2004 in General
We have used QuickReport for a long time, and switched to ReportBuilder
recently. One of problems I had was how to have a page header printed before
the title band and on every page. A TppHeaderBand doesn't do the job since
it is printed after the title band.

Can anyone help?

    Hi Siqing,

My suggestion would be to place an invisible lable inside your header band
and create a group around the entire report based on that label with the
KeepTogether and Reprint on Subsequent Pages options turned off. Then use
the Header band as you normally would and use the Group Header band as the
Title band. Turn the real Title band off.

    Thank you very much, Nico.

I followed your suggestion and was able to fulfill what I had wanted to
    achieve.

By the way, after playing with Quickreport(v7.03 professional), I miss some
features in Quickreport that seem to be unavailable in ReportBuilder: 1. a
pageheader band printed before the title band; 2. childband; 3. general band
(other than btHeader, btTitle, btColumnHeader, etc). May I suggest Digital
Metaphors to consider implementing these features?

Despite of my suggestions, I still think that ReportBuilder is an excellent
reporting tool, and I would like to express my thanks to Digital Metaphors
for providing such a wonderful product.

    Cheers!

    Siqing
