Display of PDF Images in a ReportBuilder Report

edited February 2004 in General
Hello All:

I use ReportBuilder to print out forms for customers which are supplied
by the Government in PDF form.

Does anybody have a component which will allow me to embed a PDF image
within a ReportBuilder report ???

Currently, I either have to manually reporduce the form using various
components, or, I have the customer print the form out first, then insert it
in their inkjet printer. Both of these methods are difficult.

This is becoming a bigger & bigger issue as the PDF format is becoming
an industry standard. Are there any plans for ReportBuilder to support
rendering a PDF image ???

Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi, Neil

Try Grid pack for ReportBuilder, it can design any table, grid, filled-in
forms, and it is very faster compare to loading the big image in the report,
and it is ready for support to export to PDF by using next release of
TExtraDevices. See more detail at http://www.planit-tech.com

    Hi Neil,

Currently there are no plans to create a PDF viewer component for
ReportBuilder. One option you might consider is finding a component that
converts PDF to either image or RTF format, then using the TppImage or
TppRichText components to display your PDF documents inside a report.

You may want to look at site like http://www.convertzone.com/ to find
a PDF converter app. Tossing "convert pdf" and tiff and jpeg into
Google will kick out lot of pages.

LeadTools has a file conversion API for their PDF library that would
allow your to handle the PDF to XXX conversion within your own app.
    Take a look at http://www.eprintdriver.com/eprint-developer.html

    Other sites to consider:
