ppDesigner Question

edited February 2004 in General
I'm using the ppDesigner component to allow users to modify report layouts.
On some of my reports, calculations and ppLabels are being set as the report
is traversing records. If the user happens to delete one of the variables or
labels that is being set during the report, an error occurs. Is there some
way to deny the user the ability to delete a component from the designer
window. And if not, what is the best method to handle this?

Thanks in advance

    Hi Stan,

Unfortunately, there is no way to restrict the user's ability to
change/delete components on the report designer. You could perhaps warn
your users that deleting certain components will cause errors or before you
make calculations on a component, check to see if it still exists so no
    error will be encountered.
