Best Fonts For Small Print/Building Forms

edited February 2004 in General
Hello All:

We are reproducing pre-printed forms for customers on laser printers. We
are having issues making small print appear clearly. What fonts are best for
this type of work - where font size is 6, 5, or 4 ???

We are also thinking of using William Yu's Grid tool at
http://www.planit-tech.com. Any comments from users of this product ???

Thank you.

    Hi Neil,

Sorry for the late response, I was hoping someone else would chime in on
this one. As far as the font and size to use, each printer is different.
My suggestion would be to test certain fonts with different font sizes and
see which one best suits your needs. Personally, I've found that most
TrueType fonts are relatively easy to read at font size 6. Anything below
this tends to become more difficult (although using a laser printer, it
    should still be clear).
