New to this - Continuous Form Design with ReportBuilder?

edited March 2004 in General
Folks,

New to this, I'll apologize in advance for the question...

Designing layout and printing laser forms is no problem, but we're trying to
create layouts and print Continuous Invoices, Packing Slips, Statements.

*Any* comments, direction and/or feedback would be most welcome.

Thank you.

    Hello,

The best way to print continuous reports in sequential order is to use
Section style Subreports. Try placing three TppSubreport components inside
your main report's Detail band and set them to be Section Subreports. You
can do this by right clicking over the subreport component and selecting
"Section" from the popup menu. Each one of these reports will act as a
separate individual report. You can then create the Invoices, Packing
Slips, and Statements reports in each of the subreports with separate
    datasources if you like.

    Nico,

    Thank you.

Customer needs to print these continuous forms using Microsoft? "Generic
    Text Only Driver".

Printing to the (much) slower "Graphic Driver" is not an option, due the
    restriction in print speed.

Any direction on where to look for information on this?

I'm sure this is being asked incorrectly...hopefully someone will be able to
see past that to bring some much needed direction...

    Thanks again,

    TrevVon

You can try the Dot Matrix device included with TExtraDevices. This bypasses the driver
and sends the report data directly to the printer port.
