(Unwanted) Rich-Text Font size changing
Greetings, all:
I have a weird situation. One of the organizations using my software has
noticed that when they print one of their 100-page reports the font size in
a rich-text memo field gets larger. The result is that, unbeknownst to the
user, some data occasionally 'falls off' the bottom of the page. If they
select only certain criteria for the report, resulting in a fewer number of
pages, the font size in the memo is correct, and therefore the report is
correct.
I thought that this might be a printer driver issue, so I asked them to
print the report to a PDF file. That also has the wrong font size in the
memos. Since this only seems to be occurring with *long* reports, I'm
wondering if it's a memory issue somehow? Has anyone experienced this same
issue, and if so, what's the fix?
FWIW, I'm using RB7.6 and Delphi 6.

P.S. I have to say that I've been extremely happy with ReportBuilder, and
so have my clients.

Printing the report to PDF will still use the printer driver to calculate
the measurements of the components, bands, fonts, etc. As a test try
printing to a completely different printer and see if that changes the
results. Are you noticing that the font is getting larger on screen as well
as on paper?

That's interesting, I didn't know that. I belive the problem *does* exist
even if sent to the screen, and I know the problem arises on more than one
printer. I have a 2-day old copy of the client's data, and the problem
doesn't arise for me. I'm wondering if there may be some corrupted data at
the client's site causing the problem They're going to run a repair on the
data tonight and we'll find out on Saturday if that resolved the issue.
Thanks, I'll keep you posted.
