Slow loading of Report Designer (V 7.03)

edited April 2004 in General
I'm using V 7.03 of RB.

When I double click the ppReport icon to design/edit a report, it is taking
up to a minute to load, and similar to (for example) get the data toolbar to
display. Once it crashed D6 completely. I've never had these problems
before (I started with RB5).

Is this a known problem, and is there a fix for it?, as it is a real hassle
when you are in a workflow.

I don't know if it is connected, but if I recently installed the RTL 2 and
RTL 3 D6 patches for use with another package.

    Hi Barry,

This is not a known issue with ReportBuilder 7.03 and Delphi 6. Are you
experiencing this behavior when trying to load the designer with a blank
report and no data connected? Please try re-installing ReportBuilder and
see if that helps. I will run a few tests here and see if I can come up
    with anything.

    Hi

I was originally using the JITPipeline and a blank report: there are also
quite a few other reports in the project connected to ADO data sources.
I'll try re-installing as you suggest - it is weird, 'cos it only just
started happening. Does RB go off and search for something when you load the
    designer?
