    Article: RAP Compiler Source Code
    ---------------------------------------------------

Having been in this market for quite some time now, we are aware of and
sensitive to the issues related to distribution of source code. With all
registered versions of ReportBuilder full source code is included.

However, RAP is a run-time Pascal compiler. Just as Borland does not
distribute source code to the Delphi compiler, Digital Metaphors will not
distribute the source code to the RAP compiler.

ReportBuilder is still a very powerful reporting platform when used without
    RAP.

The use of RAP is purely optional.

It is up to each customer to decide whether to use RAP. For those customers
who do not want to use RAP because they do not have the source code, we
respect their decision and hope that they can understand and respect ours.

Fair enough. I've been trying to recompile my RB6 to be
used in D7. We are not interested in upgrading to RB7
as we're happy with RB6. We do not want the new featuers
and or any other fixes in RB7. We just want to be able to run our
    applications
in D7. RB should have been fine except for these ra* files. We
only got dcus and sadly they're compiled with D6. Its very
frustrating as it seems that you're being force to upgrade.
