Re: Black boxes over tppimage
Greetings,
We have a problem Houston. We are using D6 and RB7. We are saving bitmaps to
a blob. The bitmaps are 1bit in size. We try to print the bitmaps, a black
box covers the entire image. I searched the web and found ...
tppimage.directdraw := True; and Transparent := False; are the recommended
solutions. Niether of the solutions work in this instance.
This only occurs on Win98 and WinME machines printing to a HP Deskjet XXX. I
have tried a HP 650, 960c, 895c. If I print to a laserjet with Win98 or ME,
the drawing prints just fine.
Does anyone have a clue as to what this is all about?
Thanks,
Tim Armstrong

This behavior is probably due to a memory or resource leak in the drivers
you are using with the DeskJet printers. ReportBuilder sends the same
Windows API commands to every printer it prints to regardless the type.
There is an image patch available for RB 7.03 that may help. If you would
like to try it, please send an e-mail to support@digital-metaphors.com
requesting it and we'll send it right out.
